Cookie Policy
Last updated 25 June 2026
This policy explains how SeptemberAI uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. We keep cookies to a minimum. This website sets one strictly necessary cookie and self-hosts its fonts, so nothing optional loads and no third party is contacted until you accept analytics. Our product, BAP, sets its own cookies, which are listed in their own section below.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between visits, such as a preference you set. Similar technologies, like local storage, can serve the same purpose. In this policy we refer to all of them as cookies.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for a site to work. Others are optional and only run if you allow them. We do not use any optional cookies today, and we will not set one without your consent.
How we use cookies
We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot function without them. The other three are off by default and would load only after you turn them on.
Keeps the site working and remembers your privacy choices. Always on and cannot be switched off.
If enabled, remembers preferences like language or display options so the site feels consistent across visits. None are in use right now.
If enabled, helps us understand how the site is used in aggregate, such as which pages are visited, so we can improve it. These load only after you accept.
If enabled, supports measuring and tailoring outreach about our work. We do not run marketing or advertising cookies today.
The cookies we set today
The table below lists every cookie this website (september.wtf) sets right now. It is a short list on purpose. If we add an optional cookie behind your consent later, it will appear here.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sep_consent | SeptemberAI | Stores your cookie choices | 180 days | necessary |
| _ga, _ga_* | First-party | Anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the site. Set only after you accept analytics. | up to 2 years | analytics |
Cookies in the BAP product
BAP is our product for putting powerful AI to work. Its web app and marketing site link to this policy and set their own cookies, listed below. These are separate from the single cookie this website sets.
Strictly necessary, always active
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| session_token | Keeps you signed in | 7 days |
| refresh_token | Renews your session without signing in again | 30 days |
| oauth_state | Security (CSRF protection) while you connect a tool | 10 minutes |
| user_plan_tier | Shows the features that match your plan (Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise) | 30 days |
Analytics, only with your consent
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| ph_…_posthog | Anonymous product-usage analytics and feature-flag state, used to understand usage and improve BAP | up to 12 months |
In BAP, analytics is off by default. Nothing analytics-related fires (no pageviews, autocapture, session replay, or feature-flag requests) until you click Accept. Accept turns it on and remembers your choice, Reject keeps it off, and you can change this anytime in the BAP app under Account then Privacy.
For transparency, some things BAP uses are not cookies. Your accept or decline choice is stored in your browser's local storage (as bap_dpdp_consent), along with an analytics opt-in flag and first-touch attribution. BAP's error monitoring uses no cookies and strips IP addresses, cookies, and request bodies.
BAP sets no advertising, retargeting, or marketing cookies as of now. You will be informed of any policy change if we add them.
Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the Privacy choices control in the footer of every page, or with the button below. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and any optional cookies stop loading immediately.
We honor Global Privacy Control and similar browser signals as a request to keep optional cookies off. You can also remove cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may reset preferences the necessary cookie remembers.
These controls apply to this website. If you use one of our products, you can customize these settings from within the respective product, in its own settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. If we add a new purpose or a new cookie, we will update the table above and ask for your consent again before any optional cookie loads. The date at the top shows when we last made a change.
